Senorita groove

Hey guys,
Here's the grooves to Justin Timberlake's senorita which we looked at a couple of weeks ago (apologies for the lateness). I have also written out the chorus groove which is a four bar loop to have a go at. If you get stuck or have any questions bring them with you next lesson
Happy hitting

The Number 1 Groove of all Time!

Dear All

This week we learnt to play 'Funky Drummer' as played by Clyde Stubblefield. It's a classic ... and you've got to know it.

I've put it on our Spotify playlist here Funky Drummer

Week 1 : 2011 - Triplet Exercises

A very warm welcome back to everyone this term. It is a long term and this gives us a great opportunity to cover some really great subjects between now and Easter.

Some time ago, Rhythm Magazine published a list of their top 100 grooves from the last 50 years of music. My goal for us, is to look at most if not all of these grooves over the next few months - watch this space.

This week we started, as always, with a purely technical lesson to start the term. We played triplets on the snare drum - played as RR LL RR etc. We then added bass drums and hi hats to develop cross-independence.
